Homemade Pasta

On Freecycle the other day someone had listed a Marcato Atlas 150 Pasta Maker (http://www.marcato.net/cambialingua-eng.phtml) still in the box. I have always wanted to try making homemade pasta so I went to pick it up.
I made homemade Fettuccine tonight and it was SO good! Of course my sheets of pasta weren't near as neat looking as the ones in this picture, so my fettuccine noodles weren't the most perfect strips, but it all tastes the same anyway. I don't think that I will ever go back to dry pasta in a box again! This was so much better!

I love homemade pasta too. Its fun to make with the kids. I haven't made anything for years but you have inspired me to get mine out of storage. Its really yummy to add your own herbs from the garden too!

What fun and how delicious to make your own pasta with that machine.
Years ago my husband made noodles by hand, using a rolling pin, and drying them a bit on the clothes line.
That is a funny sight, to see noodles hanging on the line.
The machine is the way to go.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Oh, I tried to make homemade pasta to impress my husband when we were still dating. It wasa DISASTER. He still married me anyway. :) Many years later, I'm still afraid to try again.
